"You are already so intuitive that you are miserable.  What's driving you crazy is that you haven't got the courage to ACT on your intuition."
-- Carolyn Myss, Energy Anatomy

Why personal coaching?

Personal coaching is designed to assist individuals create and sustain a desired change in their lives.  Personal coaching addresses the whole person, with an emphasis on producing action and uncovering learning that leads to more fulfillment, more balance, and more joy in living life.  Personal coaching facilitates measurable and sustained progress toward a desired personal goal or result.  Simply stated, personal coaching helps clients live life on purpose.

Isn't a coach just someone who cheers you on from the sidelines?

That's what I used to think.  I had "auditioned" coaches for a large corporation and found that many coaches were, in fact, sideline cheerleaders who would simply state motivational phrases and ask me to read motivational books each week.  My coaching approach is different.  The client identifies his or her goals to be reached through coaching and is held accountable for completing "assignments" each week that move the client forward toward the goal.

As your coach, I am accountable for honoring your agenda for each coaching session, helping you see some of your strengths that you may over look, calling you on your resistances that keep you from moving toward your goals, providing an objective (and oftentimes intuitive) observation of what is actually taking place, and creating a safe space where you can just "be" during the coaching session.

How long does the formal coaching engagement last?

Coaching engagements typically last a minimum of four months.  Sustained change does not take place overnight, and even the most willing clients experience resistance to the very changes they want to make.  Most clients choose to stay with the coaching process beyond this initial commitment.  After the initial four months, the coaching agreement may proceed on a month-to-month basis.

If the coaching process is not working for a client, the client is asked to bring the problem to the coach directly so the issue(s) can be discussed and an agreement can be reached on how to proceed.

What about confidentiality?

All content of coaching sessions is held in strictest confidence.  Should an employer engage coaching services for one or more of its employees, the content of coaching sessions is NOT shared with the employer.
